This is a one-way letter that entails no response. Why? This is a break-up letter.

Written after much struggle and strife, after having been toying with the idea for months, these letters are sent with a certain heaviness of heart. That is why they call us The Heavers. They are a result of incompatibility, inherited patterns from childhood trauma, and one too many fatal misunderstandings. There are two sides to each of these letters: the acknowledging what was, and what can be no more. Finally, these letters not only apply to romantic relationships. Friendship break-ups are real (and painful), as well as the severing of family ties, or other relationships. Perhaps the relationship has already ended, and both parties know it. To process grief, to honor what was, or to release anger in a healthier way. This is the type of letter that the recipient may carry around for months before opening, if ever.
